Guest Presentation – Lisa Edge of Lancashare

On Friday 5th May 2017, we were fortunate to have Lisa Edge of Lancashare visit our meeting to tell us about Lancashare and how it has been built to help businesses in Lancashire. Below is a synopsis of her presentation:-

Lancashare provides free support, resources and information to Lancashire businesses and individuals by ‘pooling’ as many resources as possible in one place for you to access – totally free!

We only launched in November 2016, and we have had over 40,000 web hits, 2,000 Twitter followers and hundreds of Lancashire businesses signed up, along with backing from the Chambers of Commerce, FSB, RBS, Global Radio, Blackburn Rovers, Forbes Solicitors, Accrington College, LH Recruitment, UCLan and many more fabulous businesses from across the county!

The site allows you to find Lancashire based funding in one place, to win tenders, promote your business, reduce carbon footprint, increase your CSR, recruit local people, get access to training and funded programs along with details of events, networking groups and business awards available in our county!   What’s more, the site is completely free to use and should you wish to join and promote your own business, it starts at just £99 per year.

Why do we do this?   Because we believe that this county will be stronger if we work together.  There are over 55,000 businesses within the county of Lancashire, if we worked more collaboratively, surely we’d all benefit? The more businesses who join, the louder we get and the stronger we become, meaning more opportunities are shared between us all and more money is kept right here in our county!

Here is the link to the website, should you wish to join get in touch and be part of the Lancashare community today!  http://lancashare.co.uk
